Oct. 4, 2006 Dear Bro. Steve & Friendship Baptist Church: I am so excited; I don’t know where to begin. First of all, we had our record attendance at our Japanese service. 21 present with 4 first timers. What a thrill! Our Japanese churches in Japan are also excited for us. What a victory! The picture above was taken last Sunday. Continue to pray that our attendance will keep on climbing. I have been enjoying bringing messages in Japanese on the fundamentals of the Faith. Sometimes I use Power Point presentations which help quite a bit. |

Also, I just finished writing a Handbook for the Precious Memories Support Ministry, a ministry to help and encourage those who have lost their life’s mate. It contains how it got started, how to start one in your church, what to expect following the loss, how to conduct the meeting and a couple sample devotion outlines I have used. Already pastors from 10 states and missionaries in 3 foreign countries have requested the handbook. I believe it will soon be translated into German, Portuguese and Spanish. I would like to see Precious Memories groups started all over the United States and in many foreign countries. We meet only once a month. With my Japanese ministry, the SOS Soulwinning ministry, the radio ministry and now Precious Memories Ministry, I am kept pretty busy…but that’s what I like.
My greatest thrill is when I am used of the Lord to lead someone to Christ. There are several Japanese people I have a burden to see saved. The Precious Memories ministry also needs your prayers for some who need to be saved. I am still very much involved in the SOS Soulwinning Ministry. I believe it’s the best soulwinning plan around. The use of the SOS card with the Scriptures On Salvation is a powerful tool. There is much work to do and with God’s help I will keep on working until Jesus comes or He calls me home. My life is wrapped up in the work of the Lord. Retire is not a word in my vocabulary.
I want to thank you who pray and give for “our” ministry. Dixie may not be here. I know she is with her Savior, but in a way she is in my heart. So it will always be “our” ministry…..and with your faithful prayers and support.
