South O' Border - Missionaries to Mexico

Dear Friends in Christ,
This month a very dear fellow missionary went home to be with the Lord. Bessie Lee Millican came to Mexico as a missionary in 1948. She has worked in the small village of Gonzalez, Tamps for fifty-eight years. She chose to be buried among her people in the village. For many years she has been the Spiritual leader in the area, as well as teacher and Red Cross. Bessie translated my first message when we came to Mexico in 1956. She inspired me to learn the language, and let me preach (read) my first message in Spanish at the church there. Our loss is Heavens gain. Many who knew and loved her will miss her.
We rejoice in good news concerning our grand daughter Stephanie. After three Brain surgeries and untold pain, she has been released by the doctors and has been able to return to her teaching position with the Ft. Worth, Texas school district. Please continue to pray for her and her family during these trying times.
Only eternity will reveal the total results of your prayers and financial support for the ministry of Vacation Bible Schools or DVBS this summer in Mexico. God has continued to bless the efforts of all who have been involved in presenting the gospel to the boys and girls of Mexico this summer. The DVBS were well attended again, and the number of souls making a profession of faith in our Lord run from 20 to 80 per DVBS. With material for over 60 different DVBS you can see that it has been well worth the effort. Thank each one of you for your support this effort with finances and prayers.
Beloved, we are amazed at the Grace of God. Your faithfulness has continued again this month. Our support has been adequate and our strength has been sufficient. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
